As described in the course catalog, this course covers the theory of numbers, congruences, Diophantine equations, prime numbers, and cryptography.

Homework
There will be one homework assignment given each week, usually assigned on Thursday and due by the start of class the following Thursday. Assignments will be submitted via Gradescope, available through Canvas. There will also be one preliminary assignment given before each class in a video lecture.
